As viewed from international design ideas, the metropolitan park stereo system is becoming a modern city waterfront development trends. Therefore the modern waterfront city planning and landscape design of Fangqianzhen will be able to meet diverse needs, will be a multi-objective design process.

The overall goal aims at heightening the city quality and improving the environmental landscape elements. The design is addressing every aspect of actual problems. Taking advantage of the natural and city elements within the planned area, to make vibrant city blend in natural ecological landscape park. Meanwhile, the optimized, improved water system will be in combination with the urban residential, commercial, entertainment and leisure areas. Thus to create a distinctive waterfront space, in which the waterside pavilion, the Jiangnan watery region, the waterfront park all become a unique element of the city urban. The planning program is based on grid structure extending from east to west. For whole district it also acts as a channel linking the regional areas. Such planning structure makes city water system, green and the main roads as an ingenious combination.
